You’ve probably heard about “whitewashed tombs.” You don’t want to be labeled as such. In one word, it means hypocrisy. It’s like saying one thing but doing another or beauty on the surface with rotten attitude.

Or…a well-suited man that cannot remove his suit in public because the only portions that are ironed are those that show: the suit and the front part of the shirt, collar and a little portion of the cuffs.

Is it not good to be good inside and out? It would be better that you show me rudeness than kindness if you’re really rude…at least I am warned what you are…much like having well-ironed men’s tuxedo shirts underneath so when you feel the need to remove the tux, you’re still good. It’s best to be good, inside and out.

As technology evolves one after the other, many are afraid that their jobs will no longer be existing as computers take over their jobs. Have you watched Bicentennial Man by Robin Williams? It’s about a robot that can do everything and yet have a human touch. Try to look it up at imdb.com and watch it if you haven’t yet.

If everything will be done by robots, more and more people will lose their jobs. If that is so, we might want to think NOW what possible job can we get ready for before that time even happens. Think of your job right now. Do you think it will survive the robotic era? One thing I’m sure, though. IT jobs are here to stay.

It’s hot here. Very hot at times. In other parts of the globe, though, it’s very cold. Icy cold. Snowy cold.

In places where winter is a normal year-to-year climate, homes have heating systems. It is not just to heat the whole house but to make sure that water pipes will not burst as ice expands. For many, it is sufficient. For those with less, no house at all but a roof, a bonfire will be great. As you think about that, perhaps you’re wondering how you can have the joy of having a bonfire yet inside your house…That’s what fireplaces are for.

Don’t want the soot and the dangers it can possibly bring? Just want the style? Take a look at Amish fireplaces…

There are different allergies and I have several. Basically, there are those that appear due to inhaling, eating and touching. You don’t get allergies because you looked at something…that’s too much! lol

I’ve got allergens that uses all 3. The result is asthma that manifests in poor breathing and beveled spots all over my body. Sometimes the allergens cannot be avoided although I make some effort to request somebody near to stop smoking when inside a public vehicle. They usually oblige. Good thing, I’m not that allergic to my bed so I don’t have to buy this allergy mattress covers yet.

The best way to deal with allergies is to avoid the allergens (what is causing the allergy) or strengthen your immune system so you can bear the allergens.

I accompanied my daughter to a dentist friend (of my Mom). My sister-in-law also had her teeth cleaned and a tooth fixed. My daughter had a mollar filling.

She used the amalgam. I asked what the status of the study that the amalgam is dangerous to one’s health. She said the study is not yet over, that in fact, she, too, uses amalgam on her own teeth.

My Mom had been going to her for any dental problem for several years now, be it for her own, her children, or even grand children. I was trying to remember if I’ve been under her hands…but I think not…I’ve just been there to accompany, most of the time.

She can be considered a hi-tech dentist. She attends seminars and conferences to learn the latest technology. I see, she is pro-technology…and that is good.

The only thing that turns me off is proper hygiene. I’ve noticed it not only by watching her but by watching the other dentists too. Is it usual? Or is it just a bad habit to break? The thing is, they wear their gloves, right? Supposedly to protect the client mouth from getting direct contact with their hands, right? For several sessions, it’s always been the same habit so I cannot be mistaken that it has become a bad habit…that the same gloved hands hold on things in the middle of the session like taking phone calls, switching lights, plugging fans, pushing the aircon buttons, getting stuff needed, scratching itchy parts of their body, etc., etc….It really happened, not just once but several times!

The first time I saw it some months ago, I thought it is just coincidental or accidental…then I went to another dentist, it’s just the same! Then back to this dentist, it really is a habit!

Dr. So-and-So, if you happen to read this, I hope you get what I mean. I didn’t have the guts to tell you bluntly. You’re nice, I know. No question about it. But shouldn’t hygiene for the sake of the clients be topnotch rather than your own hands? It always seemed it’s your hands that you’re protecting that’s why you glove them…Imagine yourself under your hands…kinda ewwww…

It may be rare. Probably it just happened to me. It’s not that all dentists are the same. A Plano dentist could be super hygienic…but it still does not negate the fact that there are some negligent ones…and I just happen to be under her care.
