Nearly everyone who doesn’t own one, wants one even, if not needed. It has become a status symbol. What status? It actually depends on how you look at it.
Owning several credit cards can mean 2 opposing sides:
1. You are earning more. You won’t be approved if your income does not qualify for certain types of cards.
2. You are living on credit. You probably have used your limit and every month you are paying for everything you got and nothing is left to you every payday so you get another loan to eke out that month.
Owning a credit card needs total self control. If you can’t control it, it will control you.
Before applying for one, you should ask yourself the following:
1. What credit card company gives back the most cash-back offer?
2. Are the shops or stores I’m frequenting supported by the credit card I’m targetting?
3. How much interest rate am I charged?
4. How much penalty rate in case I fail to pay?
5. If I’m getting a credit card so that I can buy a particular item, will my use of the credit card be enough to get my rewards?
6. Until when will my rewards be valid? When will they be valid?
7. Can I pay on a monthly basis without draining my funds? Will I be able to cut back on certain spending so I can pay for what I purchased?
There are lots to consider. Haste makes waste and that applies much to applying for credit cards. Just choose one so you can maximize your rewards. Just apply for the best according to your needs, especially if you’re choosing because of the rewards.
Look for the best cash back credit card that suits you best and for more questions, don’t be afraid to ask for credit card help.
You owe it to yourself. Besides, you’re the one paying, and if not thought about well enough, you will also be the one to suffer the consequences.
