Frankly, I haven’t thought about it until I was presented with the idea. It led me to do some research and since I don’t have much time to read all, I tried my search on good ole YouTube.
There I found out that you can accomplish almost anything with yoga. You can get slim using yoga. You can apply yoga for strains on the neck. You can use yoga to make blood circulate your body and give your heart a good flow of blood. You can give yourself abdominal massage good for the digestion and immune system like the video sample below:
There’s even such a thing as laughter yoga! There’s yoga for every part of the body. Your shoulders and chest need some oxygen too and yoga is one way get oxygen in the right way. For stretching, for better health. Do you suffer from hangover? There’s a yoga trick for you!
If you are like me who stays in front of a computer almost all day, you need some stress reliever for your wrists. I know I do.
Contrary to popular belief, yoga is not only applied by women. There is also yoga for children and even men yoga. Of course, if you have been rusting for some time like me, it takes more effort. I used to be bendable when I was much younger. Now my joints are rusting. I know I need exercise of some sort. I have to figure out what fits me best.

Yoga rocks! There are tons of great DVD’s out there, I think the ones produced by Gaiam are especially good. I use Seane Corn’s Vinyasa Flow Yoga because I love her, she is a great DVD teacher, and the yoga is offered with instruction, without instruction (only music), short form (quickie) and long form. Also, it’s absolutely amazing how fast it helps. You don’t have to do it everyday either. And if you can get some privacy, quiet, and calm, Yoga will do wonderful things for your head as well as your body. You do need a mat, absolutely. Gaiam sells those (as does practically everyone) but get one that is ‘extra thick’ (like for Pilates), get some bricks for help with the poses that are too hard and have a towel and water, because you’re gonna sweat.
